We live in Lexington, Kentucky, close to downtown in what many consider the most lovely and historic area of our town. We can be found spending our evenings on the back porch with the smell of roasting peanuts in the air from the Jif Peanut Butter plant just a few blocks away as we read, talk and drink coffee-ahhhh!

Since we are near downtown, when the wind is blowing in the right direction, we can hear age-old church bells chime on the hour and the trains whistle as they go by.

Not only are we educators, we are the proud owners of Walden's Photography, a second generation photography studio started by Tim's father, Bob Walden, who started the business as therapy after being confined to a wheelchair when Tim was five years old. At the age of twelve, Tim started learning photography as he helped his father in the darkroom. When he turned sixteen, he became Bob's wedding "assistant" and has never looked back.

Meeting in high school and marrying after college graduation, we took over Walden's Photography, putting our own stamp on the business.

Originators of the Relationship black and white portrait two decades ago, we continue to hone our craft as photographers and print artists as well as teachers, sharing with other professional photographers who want to learn this iconic "Walden" style and raise their skills up as true professinals.

As Kodak Mentors and members of two of the most elite, international photography societies, our heart is to continue to offer the highest level of artistry to our clientele and the most intense, informative education to professional photographers.
